From its foundation to the present date, there have been only four Executive Directors of the Willimantic Housing Authority. John Ashton was hired shortly after the creation of the Authority in 1946 and remained as Executive Director until December 1973. Kendall Anthony succeeded to the position in January of 1974 and remained until his retirement in May 1986. Frederick Wallace was the third Executive Director, serving from June 1986 through September 1992 when he left Willimantic to become Executive Director of the Milford, Connecticut Housing Authority. He was replaced in October 1992 by the present Executive Director, Michael Westerfield.
